Waggener Edstrom Worldwide Names Shaun Wootton As General Manager for France

FORMER GM OF WE’S GERMAN AND SINGAPORE OPERATIONS RETURNS TO EUROPE TO EXPAND OFFERING IN FRANCE

PARIS — 15 Dec 2008 — Multiservice global public relations agency Waggener Edstrom Worldwide (WE) today appointed Shaun Wootton as general manager for France. Wootton, a key figure in the agency’s international expansion in recent years, will take up the French post on 1 Jan. He brings extensive experience from WE’s Asia Pacific business, where he was vice president for South Asia and general manager of its Singapore office.

Wootton’s new objectives will be to consolidate existing accounts and pursue new-business development opportunities in the French market with a greater focus on communications services for innovative enterprises and enhanced digital offerings.

Wootton rapidly established himself as a powerful force in South Asian public relations, building a diversified portfolio of clients including, eBay, EMC and GE Healthcare. Under his leadership, WE’s Singapore office expanded from two to 20 staff in just two years.

Wootton has 17 years of PR experience, with client references that include Microsoft Corp, GE Healthcare, PeopleSoft Inc, CA, CNBC Europe and Infineon Technologies AG. Joining Waggener Edstrom Worldwide in London in 2003, he progressed to become general manager in Munich before moving to Singapore in 2006.
